This is a large vintage necklace dating to the 1960s or ’70s, similar to jewellery by Finnish firm, Aarikka. It has a fringed pendant of wooden beads and sections of pure copper, coiled into circles. The beads are a mix of cubes and disks, and appear more orange in the pictures than they really are – they are a warm, aged-oak colour with a semi-matte sheen.
Altogether there are five sections in the pendant plus a wood bead fringe, so it has lots of movement when worn. The pendant is attached to a long chain of copper lengths linked by circles, echoing the circles in the pendant.
Dimensions: The chain is 72 cms (29″) long. The pendant is an additional 12.5 cms (5″) long.
Marks: None
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no damage or flaws. The copper is dulled but would clean up to a bright rich copper if desired.
